Remove Win32:Dropper-Gen

Win32:Dropper-Gen is a detection found by Avast antivirus. Under this term they group all the “Dropper” kind of Trojans. A “Dropper” Trojan is  a virus whose goal is to charge up even more autonomous malware (Trojans, worms, backdoors).

Win32:Dropper-Gen‘s detection is of a general kind, therefore not giving any details about the autonomous malware being set upon us.

Usually we deal with a compressed file within an exe file. When Win32:Dropper-Gen is executed, it will extract some files in a temporary folder directly onto our hard drives.

In many cases a Dropper Trojan will automatically start games, or it will start showing pictures and messages as distractions from many malicious tasks happening at the same time.

Sometimes Avast is not able to completely remove everything detected as Win32:Dropper-Gen, or it finds it impossible to find the exact process that keeps starting what the program attempts to block.
