Remove Super-Search.org

Super-Search.org is a browser hijacker, in other words a program that modifies certain web browser settings in order to achieve a change in browsing behavior and response. Among the settings changed we usually find the default homepage and default search engine, with no possibility of rolling back those changes.

Super-Search.org is also classified as a Search Hijacker because all searches performed by the user are quietly redirected towards specific websites, usually malicious sites that will collect your personal data.

Super-Search.org is last but not least considered a Homepage Hijacker, an infection specialized on changing the default homepage without the user’s approval so other pages are used, usually malicious ones that will collect private data.

The best way to avoid this kind of issue is to be aware of what you do while you install new programs. Browser Hijackers are distributed through all sorts of new software, free or not, which is why is so easy to fall into the trap of not de-selecting cases that will give you nothing but problems. Besides taking care of what you do and read everything presented on installers, another way to protect yourself from PUP’s is to install a proper antivirus that includes PUP’s detection such as Malwarebytes AntiMalware.
