Remove SmartBrowser

SmartBrowser is a browser based on Chromium, an open source code web browser in which Google Chrome is based as well. The company developing this program is using Chromium resources to create a new browser called SmartBrowser making it quite similar to Chrome.

Note that you shouldn’t be naive about this, they might look the same, but nothing goes beyond the visual appearance. If you use this program you’ll find yourself filled with sponsored links. To make things worse, the confidentiality agreement presented by SmartBrowser clearly states that when using this program everything you do online is recorded by them.

SmartBrowser is distributed and installed thanks to inexperienced and over-trusting users downloading programs from the net. To avoid this kind of problem in the future, make sure you only download programs for secure websites (those whose address starts by https) or go only for downloads offered by official websites. If you happen to visit a streaming or pirate website, avoid downloading anything they offer because it will be filled with unwanted programs. In the screenshot shown above you can see a perfect example of a parasite program being offered. If you click on the big green “Next” button, you’ll be installing SmartBrowser.

The guide presented below will help you remove this virus.
