Pricemeter is an adware and a potentially unwanted program without actually being a virus. However if your computer is affected by Pricemeter it may be exposed to harmful content. Although Pricemeter may seem helpful , keep in mind that it can also produce links to Web sites that are perhaps not reliable in addition to being useless. There is therefore a risk you reach a dangerous site that could for example use a phishing technique to get you to disclose sensitive information ( credit card number , etc …) .
In short you must remove Pricemeter your computer to ensure its security. Although it is not a direct threat , it is better not to tempt fate by exposure to malicious content.
