KMSpico is an illegal software that enables you to activate Windows or Office. Due to its illegal status, KMSpico is considered an unwanted program and classified as virus by certain security programs (you can see the full list by the end of this explanation). If you’re here is either because your antivirus detected KMSpico and now you’re unsure whether you have to remove it or not, or perhaps because your antivirus software doesn’t seem to be able to remove it completely.
KMSpico is developed by Heldigard Activator, upon installation it will execute the following tasks:
- It installs itself as service so it can be started along with the system’s start-up.
- It sets an automatic scheduled task.
- It installs itself as program.
- It creates additional folders.
- It installs a considerable size process among the system processes.
We can find it mostly in:
- C:\Program Files (x86)\KMSpico Updater
- C:\Program Files (x86)\KMSpico
We strongly advice you not to install nor use KMSpico, remember that nothing is really free and specially in this case it would not come as a surprise if using this program might end up being the source of nasty consequences, including annoying unexpected ads, slowing down of your system’s performances, forced use of proxy, password stealing, redirection towards fake websites…
