Remove FlashBeat

FlashBeat is not a virus, it is however a potentially unwanted software that is installed through many free and popular software to which it has been attached by many download platforms. Here’s an example of an install program offering FlashBeat among other unwanted software.

It’s not even a brand new adware per se, it’s a new version of the Lolliscan adware that we have covered before around march 2015. It acts in the exact same way… completely normal since its goal is exactly the same: to drown you in ads while recovering useful information about you. While reading FlashBeat’s terms and conditions, we learn that it will recover your IP address, browsers installed on your computer, geographic information about your current location, language of your system among some other information they say they need to improve their software. A few lines afterwards we learn that it can share that information with others.

We can safely conclude then that keeping FlashBeat in your computer gives you nothing, quite the contrary, which is why you should get rid of it as soon as possible.
