Remove DigiSaver

>DigiSaver is a PUP (or Potentially Unwanted Program) that comes and latches on to the most popular Internet browsers (Chrome, Firefox, or Internet Explorer) in the form of a plug-in.

Its goal is to display a large amount of advertisements on the web pages the user visits- ads that are more or less appealing- to push the user with the infected computer into clicking on them and therefore collect advertising revenue (Editor’s Note: on the Internet, each click on an ad generates money for DigiSaver’s author).

This adware program doesn’t really get installed all by itself: DigiSaver requires its victims help, which it will cheat to get. It’s not unheard of to have cybercriminals design web pages themselves, creating content that is usually pretty popular by adding videos, for example. When a user wants to view one, a fake message appears and invites the user to install an add-on on their browser through deceptive means (i.e., installing an add-on to play the video). As a result, the user installs a malware program unawares and directly onto their browser. Other adware designers prefer to disguise their program so that the users mix it up with a well-known software program. Once installation has been completed, DigiSaver turns into an add-on or an independent software program on your PC.
