Desktop Search is an adware developed with the sole aim in mind of showing you non-stopping ads. To achieve this it broadcasts itself as a helping tool, allowing you to search the web directly from your desktop. Or at least that’s what it says on their official website:
Yes… the tool seems to work fine, but in all truth is nothing but an excuse to show its ads. There’s nothing practical or actually useful about it… to use it you need to go to your desktop and use an icon specially placed there for it (exactly the same steps it takes you to open your web browser).
Nevertheless, the showing ads part is as efficient as it can be, no problems there! This adware shows its ads in many different forms from banners and pop-ups to underlined links among the text of every website you visit.
Although Desktop Search shows a big shiny logo from Norton in its website saying is “100% virus free”, this is far from true as you’ll see below. It also says that is quite easy to uninstall it… also not true at all. First of all you wouldn’t be on our website had you achieved to uninstall it manually and easily.
