CloudScout is a free parental control program, but we think it is not at all recommendable for two reasons we will expand on.
The first reason is that CloudScout, advertised as entirely free, is delivered with a module that will spread ads on all the sites you will visit. These ads will be posted with the text by CloudScout and will insert a few anywhere, making it more difficult to read pages and slowing your computer and browser at the same time. To help in this task, CloudScout takes measures to modify the DNS recorded on you PC using the IP address:5.135.12.56 and 199.203.25.78. It will then say that this is causing security and privacy problems. Watch out that CloudScout creates tasks that help GreenTeamDNS plant more DNS if you ever change it manually.
The second reason that we do not recommend this app is because of its method of disbursement. CloudScout is offered 99% of the time coupled with other free, well-known programs. This method tends to make it more popular, especially since it shows up on relatively respected sites like Google. We mention sites like softonic, download.com, 01net, clubic, etc… Always be sure that checkboxes are only marked if you agree to the text therein before hitting “Next” in the installation process. Don’t hesitate to customize the installation to avoid installing unnecessary programs. Finally, try to download software on its official page and avoid download platforms like the ones we’ve previously mentioned.
