Browser Warden is an adware that broadcasts advertising and sponsored links on visited sites with the mention ads by Warden Browser. It’s mostly active on result pages of Google where it inserts links at the top of each page as you can see in the screenshot below.
Even though Warden Browser has an official page, it’s strongly advised not to rely on it because everything it’s stated in, is false:
Browser Warden is annoying for several reasons:
- It displays a bunch of advertising, sometimes not legitimate.
- It can lead you to download dangerous malware for your computer.
- It may record your internet activity (research history, what you type on your keyboard etc. …)
- It slows down your computer and your browser as it’s constantly running when you open your browser.
Warden Browser is installed at the same time with free software, downloaded from the internet. In fact, it comes in a bundle with other well-known software and if you don’t customize their installation, it’s highly likely to end up with potentially unwanted software such as Warden Browser.
