Remove Banana Phone

Banana Phone is the given name of a potentially unwanted software, meaning a malicious software that is not detected as such by antivirus programs because is not basically a virus; we say “potentially unwanted” because normally there’s a way to stop it from being installed. To get it is as simple as going too fast and mindlessly clicking while installing free software, because we won’t even notice it’s being offered.  It can also be found in fake updates or fake software offered in streaming websites.

From the very first moment it’s installed, Banana Phone will do exactly what it was meant to do: to show as much ads as possible while also scanning your browsing activity. Its ads can be seen as pop-ups, banners or links among the text or the visited websites highlighted in blue or green.

Banana Phone also acts as a spyware, because it literally spies on everything you do online, including visited websites and searches done. All of it it’s meant on one hand to help customize the shown ads but also to register it in databases they can sell afterwards.
