AdvanceElite is an advertising program designed to generate traffic and display ads on sites that you visit. It is installed as an extension and most of times it gets into your computer by inattention. In fact, it’s a third-party program that comes in a bundle with other types of programs. It can infiltrate your computer during the installation process if the user goes too fast and he doesn’t pay attention to what it’s written. Once AdvanceElite is installed, it will:
- Display advertising and disrupt browsing
- Have access to your personal information without your consent (in the best case scenario it’s limited to browsing history and your internet research)
- Direct you to unknown sites
- Invite other suspicious programs to be installed
- Slow down the performance of your browser and your computer
You can avoid this type of program if you are extra careful during an installation process. When a program looks suspicious, you should deselect it so as not to install it.
